Stacey S. Roussell, M.D.
I
am a native of Louisville. I attended St. Francis School in Goshen
through sixth grade and then graduated from Kentucky Country Day School
in 1990. I spent a year as an exchange student in England before
attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where I
received a B.S. in Political Science. After graduation, I worked in
Washington, D.C. for a year and then decided to return to Louisville
where I took my pre-medical courses at the University of Louisville.
During this time, I also performed medical research for a pediatric
surgeon and have been one of the authors on a number of papers written
on that research. I graduated from the University of Louisville with an
M.D. degree in 1998 and then completed my residency in Pediatrics at
Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville from 1998-2001. I was then
lucky enough to find a great job at Children’s Health where I have been
ever since and love what I do.
I received my Board
Certification in Pediatrics in 2004 and am currently a Fellow in the
American Academy of Pediatrics. I am also a member of the Greater
Louisville Medical Society, the Kentucky Pediatric Society and the
Kentucky Medical Association.
My husband, Scott, is
the Managing Director of the BBC Beer Company, of which we are also
part-owners. I am also the mother of thee wonderful children,
Christopher, Benjamin and Beatrice. Our family attends Second
Presbyterian Church. When not in the office, I am kept more than busy
transporting my children to their various activities and flying to stay
in shape by bike riding and fitting in exercise where I can. I love to
read, travel and eat great food and I would love to eventually have
enough time to finish needle pointing my childrens’ Christmas stockings.
