Insurance and billing policies Our physicians are participating, contracted providers with all the major insurance carriers in our area. Co-pays are due at the time of service!!! This is not only our office policy, but, it is also stated in our contract agreement with your insurance carrier, as well as in your policy plan and benefit booklet you receive when you enroll for coverage. We accept payment by cash, check, and for your convenience visa and mastercard. If your child is being accompanied by someone other than a parent or guardian please send payment with them or we can take a credit/debt card payment over the phone. Insurance claims will be filed with your
carrier. Once the claim has been processed, any amount not covered will
then be your obligation for payment. This is the only time you will
receive a statement!! Prompt payment is greatly appreciated to avoid
collection procedures. We also understand that financial situations do
occur. Communication with our billing manager for payment Responsible party for payment will be the parent/guardian that represents himself/herself as being the primary custodian of the child(ren). We do not involve ourselves in divorce agreements. It is your responsibility to be reimbursed from the other party. Please be aware you will be the one we confront for payment, not the parent we never see!!! Also, if the account is turned over for collect both parties are reported. Referrals are required by some insurance carriers for you to see specialists, obtain emergency room care, and lab or x-ray procedures. It is your responsibility to know if your insurance policy requires this. Please contact our office prior to seeking non emergency services.
